Mazda planning new CX-50 SUV among many new utility vehicles in the next few years
October 08 2021,
Mazda announced a new push to bring a range of brand-new models to market in the next year, specifically three new sport utility vehicles headed to North America with two other models reserved for the European market.
The first new Mazda SUV we will see is the brand-new Mazda CX-50 which will be introduced in November. Production will begin in January, meaning the new CX-50 is just around the corner. It will slot next to the redesigned 2022 Mazda CX-5 announced last month. It will be based on the Mazda CX-30, however, and designed with adventure in mind, promising outdoor enthusiasts a range of enhanced capabilities including a better performing all-wheel drive system.
Next year, Mazda will bring two other sport utility vehicles to the market, the all-new Mazda CX-90 and Mazda CX-70. The CX-90 will be a three-row sport utility vehicle while the CX-70 will be a mid-sized SUV as well, but with just two rows of seats. Both the CX-90 and CX-70 will feature a new architecture, a straight-six powertrain and an available plug-in hybrid powertrain.
These are exciting times for Mazda and we can’t wait to see the new Mazda CX-50 this year, and then the new CX-90 and CX-70 next year. Contact us today to learn more!
