COVID 19 Statement
Updated Nov 1st 2021
March 13 2020,
Sunridge Mazda will remain open to serve your needs.
At Sunridge Mazda, we prioritize safety above all else. That is why we are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and updating our operating procedures daily, based on the recommendations from public health and government officials, to help protect the health and well-being of our customers and employees, and to do our part to minimize the spread of the virus in Canada.
We continue to monitor the effects and potential implications of the COVID-19 virus, and we want to reach out and share the actions that Sunridge Mazda has and will continue to be taking to keep our dealership safe and clean for you and our staff.
We have taken additional measures and implemented strict protocols to ensure that our organization is here to serve you in the safest possible way.
We have:
- Recommended all clients to make appointments to ensure all test vehicles are cleaned and sanitized prior to test drive
- We have minimized staffing to ensure there is no overcrowding to reduce the risk of spread
- Mandated more frequent cleaning and sanitation of all high contact touch areas with disinfectant and sanitation products.
- Employees have been directed to avoid shaking hands and to stand 2 metres (6 feet) from others when possible.
- To minimize contact among employees and customers, we are staggering employee shifts to reduce the number of people in our store.
- All desks and offices have been disinfected after every use to ensure every client has clean and healthy space
- Seating in our waiting areas has been spread out as far as possible to continue with social distancing policies.
- Installed multiple new hand sanitizer stations in our building - to assure easy access to our clients and staff
- Face Masks and protective gloves provided upon request.
- All staff are reducing their risks of contracting COVID-19 by:
- Practicing safe hygiene with increased frequency of hand washing
- Staying away from work if they experience any sign of illness - regardless
- Maintaining social distancing including refraining from shaking hands.
- Requiring staff that have travelled outside of Canada to self-isolate for a minimum of two weeks.
As additional precautions:
- Every vehicle we service or use for test drives are sanitized both before and after.
- At-home test drives are available for anyone not wanting to visit the store in person
For your own personal health and the health of our staff we ask that you:
- Use hand sanitizers located throughout the dealership
- Maintain social distancing and refrain from shaking hands
- Refrain from the dealership if you are feeling ill or having returned from international travel within the past 14 days.
Mazda has a deep-rooted challenger spirit, overcoming many obstacles throughout its 100-year history. Together, we will overcome this one, too
Thank you,
Gord Stang - Dealer Principal
